Our Mission
The Floathouse mission is to provide safe and enjoyable recreational access to the Petaluma River for all—regardless of age, skill or income level—by offering a wide variety of watercraft rentals, lessons and events. As an employee of The Floathouse, you’ll help “put butts in boats and smiles on faces!”

Our number one goal at The Floathouse is to create a fun, friendly place to work and play, to enjoy every day on the dock and make sure our customers have a 100% positive experience.

Dock Attendants
Our dock attendants make the magic happen, and are the face of The Floathouse: helping check customers in and out, fitting them with life vests and adjusting equipment to fit them, plus advising them on the best plan for their outing given the conditions. In addition to launching and landing boats, you’ll help clean and maintain the equipment and help with opening and closing duties. Accepting applicants aged 15 and up.

Supervisors
Our supervisors set the stage at The Floathouse, working to ensure that it’s a fun place for both customers and staff. They oversee daily boat rental operations. Supervisors support other staff members to ensure that our customers have the best possible boating experience. As leaders, they model ideal behavior, act as backup when customers need additional support, and chip in to lighten the load on other staff members, acting as dock attendants when needed. Accepting applicants aged 21 and up.
