Finally. It’s spring. Come enjoy the new spring moon with us! This spectacularly bright moon, when viewed near the horizon, will seem huge, and we’ll take you to the best place to see it. Why “worm moon”? The Farmer’s Almanac traces this back to Native American tribes who note the emergence of beetle larvae from the thawing bark of trees and other winter shelters. If you prefer, you can call it by other, less crawly names: Eagle Moon, Goose Moon, Crow Comes Back Moon, Sugar Moon or Wind Strong Moon. All indicate the beginning of a new season, one warmer and more alive with activity and promise.
