Pup Paddle for A Cause: A Benefit for Guide Dogs for the Blind

  • The Floathouse Petaluma 50 Water Street Petaluma, CA, 94952 United States (map)

September is National Guide Dog Month! To celebrate, we’re donating 20% of all proceeds to one of our local hero nonprofits: Guide Dogs for the Blind (GDB). At The Floathouse, we love to put folks on the water with their pups, and on several occasions, we’ve stepped up to help Guide Dogs in training get their first experience on the water. Today, you can help out too!

Headquartered in San Rafael, California, Guide Dogs for the Blind is the largest guide dog school in North America. It is a passionate community that prepares highly qualified guide dogs to empower individuals who are blind or visually impaired to move through the world more safely and confidently. More than 16,000 guide teams have graduated from GDB since it was founded in 1942. GDB’s services are provided free of charge, and it receives no government funding. For more information, visit GDB online or call 800-295-4050.

To help support GDB on this special day, come paddle, row or water bike with us!

Note: Pups always paddle free at The Floathouse, and we have pet PFDs in multiple sizes.
