You can do the Downriver Paddle on Saturday or the Upriver Run on Sunday, or you can commit to the whole shebang! Take a Hobie pedal kayak downriver on Saturday afternoon, and then meet at Gilardi’s Lakeville Marina on Sunday midmorning to pedal back to town. Enjoy the view from both directions, and witness the Petaluma River's endless variety! $100/person. (One way paddles are $60/person). Saturday we meet at The Floathouse Petaluma docks in the downtown turning basin, accessible from River Plaza on E. Washington Street. Sunday we meet at Gilardi’s Lakeville Marina at 5684 Lakeville Highway in Petaluma.
We’ll help with transportation on land if needed. This is your chance to enjoy the vicissitudes of our tidal slough with ease. Hobie pedal kayaks are twice as fast as paddle kayaks, and you stay dry, with your hands free for wildlife viewing, coffee drinking, hydrating, and taking photos of our incredible wetlands.
Note: Not for beginners. Adults only. Some paddle experience required, as you will be in a boat for two hours, and the entry to GIlardi’s Lakeville Marina dock at the end of the trip requires some skill and effort.
