Redwood Empire Model Shipwrights (est. 1997) is all about having fun building and operating model boats. They meet monthly to share projects, tips, techniques and suggestions to build “models we can be proud of”. Whether battleships or tugboats, sailboats or passenger ships, the REMS’ boats represent hours of fun and sometimes meticulous research, and definitely craftsmanship.

At this Boating Club Demo Day at The Floathouse, REMS members show the public some of the amazing work they’ve done, and even let folks try the RC boats themselves! Everything from military to working vessels, fishing vessels and pleasure craft will be there to see up close, and try your hand at operating in the downtown Petaluma turning basin. Free and open to the public.
